India’s biggest airline, IndiGo said that some of its servers were affected by a hacking incident and data from its servers may have been compromised in the hack that occurred in early December.
Indigo made a statement informing customers that some internal documents might get uploaded by the hackers on public websites and platforms.
Upon disclosing the hacking incident, the company also stated that they were able to restore the systems in a very short span of time with minimal impact.
They assured that they are engaging with all relevant experts and law enforcement to make sure that the incident is investigated in detail.
The issue occurred when IndiGo airlines, operated by InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., could start slowly rehiring staff. Chief Executive Officer Ronojoy Dutta said that domestic services will probably return to pre-pandemic levels by this year beginning as capacity rebuilds from “the background of carnage” caused by Covid-19.
